Can this blog be revived from the dead?
So apparently it's not possible for two teachers to keep a blog anywhere near updated ... it's kind of sad that neither of us has posted since the end of March. So sad that I almost didn't post this, because I feel like maybe the blog's shelf life has expired, and we need to just retire this silly experiment and forget we ever started it. I mean, really. We don't need a blog. We don't even want one to try to be trendy. We know that's a lost cause.
BUT ... I think it's worth posting on a blog that I had a student write a paper last week that contained a lengthy paragraph on how Clinton and Bush differed in terms of their financial strategies, and he wasn't sure how to spell "deficit." That's right ... I ended up with sentences such as "Bush has built up the largest defecate in our country's history." Awesome.
In non-teacher news, I got poblano pepper juice in my eye this week. And I finished reading "The Line of Beauty" (Man Booker prize winner ... written by Alan Hollinghurst). But I don't think this is the type of blog that I should update with all my literary thoughts, because let's face it, I am the only one who cares about those. Wait, maybe I am the only one who cares about any of the things I've written about so far. Damn it.
In honor of my spring break, it's off to see the Dada exhibit tomorrow ... maybe there will be another meaningless update then.
